Reaching buyers before they search
Search ads catch people already looking. Paid social reaches people who fit your buyer profile but have not started looking yet, or who looked once and moved on.
That changes what the ads need to do. A social ad has a second or two to make someone stop scrolling, and it usually asks for something small: download a checklist, see a short explanation, request a quote when they are ready. Asking a cold audience to book a sales meeting in the first ad rarely matches where they are.
Paid social work therefore spends more effort on audiences, creative and the offer than search work does, and it measures responses through the Meta pixel and Conversions API or the LinkedIn Insight Tag, so the platforms can tell which responses matter to you.
How a social campaign runs from week to week
Once campaigns are live, the routine settles into a pattern.
At the start of each week the manager checks delivery. Are ad sets spending, or stuck in learning? Has anything been rejected? Did lead form submissions reach the CRM, and does the count match what the platform reports?
Midweek is about creative. Frequency is checked against each audience. Ads whose click rate is sliding while frequency climbs are marked for replacement, and new variations go into the queue.
Toward the end of the week, budgets are rebalanced between ad sets if one is clearly doing better on cost per lead and lead quality, as judged by the feedback you give on the leads themselves.
Changes go into a short log you can read, and the monthly summary pulls the threads together.
Getting ready for a paid social quote
A few answers make the first conversation shorter. You do not need everything sorted first. Rough notes in the quote form are fine.
- Which platform are you considering: Meta, LinkedIn or both?
- Do you already have a business portfolio or Campaign Manager account, and who holds admin access?
- Who is the buyer you want to reach?
- What would you offer them: a quote, a consultation, a guide?
- Do you have creative ready, or will that need producing?
- Where should form submissions go once they arrive?
The service partner reads your request, asks follow-up questions and quotes directly.
Questions about paid social campaigns
What is a special ad category?
Meta requires it for ads about housing, employment, credit or other financial products, and social issues or politics. It restricts targeting by age, gender and ZIP code and limits lookalike audiences. Whether your offer falls in a category is your decision, ideally checked with your own counsel.
Can you produce the ad creative?
That depends on the service partner and the scope you agree. Some produce images, short video and copy; some adapt material you supply; some write briefs for your designer. Mention in your quote request what material you already have, and the partner will say how they would handle it.
How do lead form submissions reach my CRM?
Usually through an integration. HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive offer connections for Meta and LinkedIn lead forms, and connector tools can send submissions to a CRM or shared inbox. A CSV download from the platform is the fallback. The connection should be tested with a real submission after setup.
If your ads, pages or follow-up need attention, describe the problem and get a scoped quote.
